I have been made aware that there are some posts on social media pertaining to litter boxes in schools. Please know these are blatant lies. The Tyler County BOE Education will NEVER install litter boxes in bathrooms. Please do not feed into peoples social media ignorance.

Tyler County Education Association would like to thank everyone who came out tonight to support our Scholarship Fund. We were able to raise enough money for one full scholarship and are a 1/3 of the way towards another!!! This was made possible by all of our wonderful families in our communities❤️. It looked like everyone had a great time. We would like to send out a special thank you to our “dunk victims” Mr. Highley, Mr. Haywood, Mrs. DeVaughn, Mr. Heasley, and Mrs. Meyer🙂. Another special thank you to the St. Marys Volunteer Fire Department for letting us use their dunk tank as well as to the Middlebourne Volunteer Fire Department for coming out and filling the tank for us. We look forward to making this a yearly event. Thank you again for your support!!!

A Back to School Fair will be hosted this year. Hygiene products will be distributed at the back to school event. The event will offer services such as dental screening, vision screening, hearing screening and hair trims. This event will also provide families with personnel, programs and agencies that are available through Tyler County Schools to support our students and their families. All Tyler County students who will enter preschool-12th grade for the upcoming school year are eligible to attend the event. All students must be accompanied by an adult.

On Friday September 16th, at the Tyler Consolidated High School football game vs. Gilmer County.it will be Tyler County Schools, student appreciation night. At halftime we will would like to bring all Tyler County School students on to the field and honor them for their academic excellence during the 2021-22 school year. #KnightsPride
Participants of this summer’s TCHS Cheer Spirit Camp are invited back to cheer pre-game of the homecoming game this Friday, September 9th. Please arrive at the entrance of the track by 5:45pm. Please wear your pink spirit camp shirt and black shorts. If you did not pick up your shirt at spirit camp, we will have it at the track entrance at 5:30pm so you can change into it before pre-game activities.

Tyler County Schools kicked off another year with the MetaNu mental wellness program. This year the program will be available for every teacher in our county, and all students in grades 6-12.

TCMS students interested in playing football, there will be lifting from 3:30pm to 4:30pm 7/27/22, 7/28/22, 7/29/22. Flex practice will be August 1st-4th from 4-6 pm. Practice starts August 9th. There will be more information to come.

Tyler County Schools announces the operation of the federally funded Summer Food Service Program occurring starting in June!
Meals are FREE and open to all children - ages 18 years and under. Children must be present and consume the meals at the site location. Meals will not be provided on June 20th or July 4th.
