If you are planning on bringing an out of school date you need to sign them up in the office with Mrs. Kester and get a permission form that needs signed and returned by January 21st. No out of school dates will be permitted without doing so.

Attention: Students, Staff, Parents, and Guardians
As of January 13th, counties are allowed , with parent permission, to offer test and stay protocol for all close contacts to positive COVID cases. We can now test staff and students on the day they are identified as a close contact to a positive case. If they are negative and symptom-free they do not have to quarantine. The close contact must also agree to test on day 5 as well to insure they are not positive. Parents, schools have permission forms if this is something you would like for your student to be able to do. We will only test students with a permission slip and verbal conformation to test. We also now will take at-home-test results for conformation of negative and positive diagnosis. At Tyler County Schools we are doing everything possible to keep our kids safe and keep them in school at the same time.

Parents and Guardians:
Looking at the weather tomorrow it looks like we are on border of the major snowfall. Snow is supposed to start around noon tomorrow. We will be monitoring the incoming storm very closely. With that being said I want to give everyone ample time to plan. Tyler County Schools wants parents and guardians to know if in monitoring the storm in the morning we see it is going to hit Tyler County hard we will dismiss school early. If the storm stays south we will have a normal day. Parents will be notified of an early release via, phone calls, texts, and social media posts.
Thanks

Have you been wondering about the crashed cars at Tyler Consolidated? Check out the commercial that was created by Mrs. Cunningham's Video Editing class. This video was scripted, produced, and edited by our students. It was submitted to the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration in response to their annual No School Spirits PSA Contest. Give it a view, and wish them luck!

Parents and Guardians, We have placed extra sheriffs deputies at each school today for precautionary reasons based on the national Tic Toc challenge that has made headlines in the news. There is no credible threat here in Tyler County, but we are just being extra cautious.
