A neat thing happening at AIB… every day at 10 the fair grounds plays the national anthem. Mrs. Myers takes her 5th grade class out every day for a mask break at that time because they want to hear it. She invited the school to join today to kick off Celebrate Freedon Week.

WVDE has replaced Captive Portal with GoGuardian. This will provide better insights on student browsing and simplifies Internet access on school devices. This transition process requires students to open the GoGuardian app on their iPad and wait momentarily until the screen says Hurray! If your student cannot connect to GoGuardian, please fill out the Help Desk form. Many of these connectivity issues will work themselves out over the next few days as the data settles. Thank you for your patience.

COVID Update
As you all know numbers of cases in our schools are rising. The guidance that has been given to schools by the state to determine when to close a school because of illness is based on two factors:
1. Not enough staff to safely run a school
2. Double the amount of absences based on the daily attendance rate at a school ( same as any other illness)
We will continue to monitor both of these factors closely.
Tyler County Schools have 47 active cases among students and 10 active cases among adults. Parents thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
