Attention: Students, Staff, Parents, and Guardians
As of January 13th, counties are allowed , with parent permission, to offer test and stay protocol for all close contacts to positive COVID cases. We can now test staff and students on the day they are identified as a close contact to a positive case. If they are negative and symptom-free they do not have to quarantine. The close contact must also agree to test on day 5 as well to insure they are not positive. Parents, schools have permission forms if this is something you would like for your student to be able to do. We will only test students with a permission slip and verbal conformation to test. We also now will take at-home-test results for conformation of negative and positive diagnosis. At Tyler County Schools we are doing everything possible to keep our kids safe and keep them in school at the same time.
